Meet the Founders
Amber L. Jones
Founder & CEOAs a wife and work-from-home mom of two, I chose to turn my passion for helping others into Versatile Business Assistance. I’ve always believed there is something special about building something meaningful and watching it grow.
With a bachelor’s and master’s degree in business, leadership, and organizational development, I’ve built a career around organizing, planning, and executing ideas that help businesses thrive. Over the years, I’ve developed experience in project management, business operations, and organizational development while supporting individuals, small businesses, and corporate organizations.
A defining part of my journey was my six years at the University of South Alabama, where I served as a Community Director and Area Coordinator. That experience strengthened my leadership skills and deepened my commitment to building strong relationships, creating supportive environments, and leading with purpose.
Throughout my career, I’ve also gained firsthand experience in hiring, team building, and navigating the operational challenges businesses face every day. I saw a need for more than administrative support—businesses need trusted partners who can help streamline operations, attract the right talent, and support long-term growth.
That’s why I created VBA.
My mission is simple: to help businesses and entrepreneurs overcome the barriers that slow growth by providing the support, strategy, and partnership they need to succeed. At VBA, we’re passionate about helping businesses grow, build strong teams, and achieve lasting success.
LaBarron A. Jones II
Co-Founder & COOService, leadership, and helping others succeed have always been at the center of who I am.
My journey began at Marion Military Institute, where I developed a strong foundation in discipline, leadership, and service before continuing my education at the University of South Alabama, where I earned my bachelor's degree. Those experiences, combined with more than 10 years of service as a Transportation Officer in the United States Army, helped shape the leader and professional I am today.
The military taught me that success isn't just about having a plan, it's about having the right people, building trust, and executing with purpose. Leading soldiers, managing complex operations, and serving in high-pressure environments reinforced the importance of accountability, teamwork, and putting people first.
After my military career, I transitioned into the private sector and spent years leading teams and managing operations across logistics, transportation, distribution, and supply chain organizations. Along the way, I realized that my passion wasn't just in running operations, it was in helping people and businesses solve problems, build strong teams, and create opportunities for growth.
That's what led me to join the Versatile Business Assistance team.
I understand firsthand the challenges that business owners and leaders face because I've been there myself; hiring employees, leading teams, improving processes, and navigating the day-to-day demands of growing an organization. I know that sometimes all a business needs is the right support, the right talent, or a trusted partner to help move things forward.
At VBA, my goal is simple: to help businesses grow, help people find meaningful opportunities, and provide the support organizations need to operate with confidence and success.
Because at the end of the day, business is about people, and when you invest in people, growth follows.
